The Argyll Scottish Dancing Group will once again be holding their weekend at Dillington House, Ilminster, Somerset from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th October 2020.

We are very pleased to welcome Craig Houston-Donald as our teacher and Robert Mackay as our class musician. This will be a landmark occasion as after over 40 years of playing for our weekend school Robert has said this will be his last.

The course is suitable for those who already have a good working knowledge of common steps and formations in Scottish Country Dancing but we regret is not suitable for beginners. This weekend will give you an opportunity to improve your technique, learn new dances and enjoy all social aspects of Scottish Country Dancing.

The booking is now open.

Booking details: Book direct with Dillington House on 01460 258613

Please note that you currently cannot book weekend courses via the Dillington website.

Our venue, Dillington House, was founded in 1949 as Somerset’s residential centre for adult education and offers a unique creative learning environment for personal and professional development.

Over recent years Dillington has been substantially refurbished to provide very high quality comfortable accommodation across three separate buildings. The accommodation is in en-suite bedrooms from the grand to the quaintly snug, from the traditional to the stylishly modern.

Due to a wedding and evening disco taking place in the main house on the Friday we will not have access to the house on that day and no rooms in the house will be available.  Accommodation will be in the Mews and the Hyde.  Dinner on Friday will be in the Garden Room and alternative bar facilities will be available.  All meals on Saturday and Sunday will be served in the main house.

Fees: Single £404
Shared Occupancy Ensuite Twin/double £404
Single Occupancy Ensuite Twin/double £466
